1. Return & Exchange Eligibility
To be eligible for a return or exchange, the item must be:
- Returned within 15 days of you receiving the item.
- In its original, unused, and unopened condition, with all original packaging and tags intact.
- Accompanied by the original proof of purchase (order number).
2. Non-Returnable Items
Due to the nature of certain high-performance components and for hygiene and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are defective or we sent the wrong item:
- Air Filters (Once installed or used, they cannot be resold)
- Body Reamers (Considered a precision tool that is not returnable once used)
- Opened and/or Used Batteries (Including Car Batteries, LiPo packs: 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 6s)
- Any product that has been installed, soldered, or modified in any way.
3. The Return/Exchange Process
Follow these simple steps to initiate a return or exchange:
- Contact Us: Within 15 days of delivery, email us at [email protected] with your order number and reason for the return/exchange. You may use the template provided below.
- Receive Instructions: Our customer service team will review your request and email you within 2 business days with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions. Please do not ship anything back without an RMA number.
- Ship the Item: Carefully package the item in its original packaging and mail it to the address provided in your instructions. We recommend using a trackable shipping service. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item shipped, defective item).
- Processing: Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund or exchange within 3-5 business days.
4. Refund Timelines and Methods
Once your return is approved and processed:
- Timeline: Refunds will be issued to your original method of payment within 5-10 business days after we process the return. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund to your account.
- Method: Refunds will be issued via the original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal).
- Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable. For exchanges, we will cover the standard shipping cost to send the replacement item to you.
5. Exchange Requests
If you need to exchange an item for a different one, please indicate the desired product in your initial email. Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the item you want is out of stock, we will process a refund instead.
6. Return/Exchange Request Email Template
To help you get started, here is a template you can use for your request. Simply copy, paste, and fill in the details into an email to [email protected].

Hello ProTek RC Sales Team,
I would like to request a [return / exchange] for an item from my order #[Your Order Number].
Product Name: [Name of the product you are returning]
Reason for Return/Exchange: [Please provide details here, e.g., defective, wrong item received, changed mind, etc.]
For exchanges, I would like to exchange it for: [Product Name and Product Code if known].
Please send me the RMA number and instructions for returning the item.
